NONCOMPROMISE:

Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ… stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those that oppose you. Phil. 1:27-28

FOUNDATIONS

God’s solid foundation stands firm. II Tim. 2:19

We firmly believe in one God revealed to us in the Bible as:

One Eternal Father, from whom comes all that exists, on whose love and mercy all rely.

One Lord Jesus Christ, who as true God became truly human, whose life, death and rising became the only source for full salvation from our fallen, sinful nature.

One Divine Holy Spirit, who generates within us the faith which, apart from any merit of our own, receives the grace of Christ.

The Great Three-in-One God, who calls and enables us to live together in him as One Church worshipping him and witnessing to his great love.

Integrity

Conduct yourselves worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Phil. 1:27

We are firmly committed to:

Humbling ourselves before God, submitting to his will, relying on his power, seeking only his glory.

Being honest and open with the Christian community regarding our purposes, principles and plans.

Listening to constructive criticism, reflecting on how we can better serve Christ and his Church, both collectively and in congregations.

Accepting no money or other assistance that would compromise our witness for the gospel of Christ.

Reasons

…in one Spirit, contending… for the faith of the gospel.
Phil. 1:27

Our mission is based on the firm conviction that:

As the Father Sent Jesus anointed with the Holy Spirit, so Jesus sends us to be his witnesses to those among whom we live.

This witness is most effective when believers stand together, affirming unity and diversity.

The culture and people among whom we live in Utah are an important part of the world God loves and desires to transform.

Effective communication takes place in relationships with and through sensitivity to the history, culture and beliefs of those to whom we witness.

Methods

contending as one person… without being frightened.
Phil. 1:27-28

We affirmatively promote:

Relationships and events within the Christian community enabling it to realize, maintain and express unity, while fulfilling its diverse callings in local congregations.

Relationships and events among those to whom we witness enabling us to clearly discern truth and error, carefully listen for ways in which the Spirit is presently active, and lovingly share the Good News.

Diverse approaches to mission, recognizing there are many ways in which the Spirit empowers our witness and, without being blind to risks involved, not being frightened in exploring new ways to witness.
