Greg and Jill Johnson

Co-founders and Directors

Greg Johnson

Greg was raised in the Mormon Church and was born again at a Christian camp just outside of Colorado Springs at age 14. Because of his background in Mormonism, Greg is passionate about building a relational dialogue with members of the Mormon faith, particularly with Mormon leaders and scholars. He facilitates and participates in LDS/evangelical dialogues between university students, scholars, leaders, and with his primary LDS dialogue partner, Dr. Robert Millet of BYU. Greg and Bob released, “Bridging the Divide: The Continuing Conversation Between a Mormon and an Evangelical,” in 2007, and have held 60 public dialogues throughout the US and in Canada and England.

Greg graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara where he majored in Social Science with an emphasis in Sociology and received a Minor in Religious Studies in 1989. After college, Greg graduated with Honors and received a Masters of Divinity from Denver Theological Seminary in 1992.

Greg serves on the board of the National Association of Evangelicals and, this year is enjoying his involvement in the Next Frontier spiritual formations cohort.

Jill Johnson

Jill was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She gave her heart to Jesus at a young age. One of the great blessings of her life is the blessing of relationships with Latter-Day Saint friends, which began in high school. Like Greg,  Jill graduated from Westmont College. She majored in Economics and Business with a minor in Communication Studies. While working overseas in the book business, she lost her first husband in a tragic accident in May of 1996. Greg and Jill had been college friends, and God graciously brought their lives back together after the accident, and they married in June of 1998. Their common love for the LDS naturally drew their hearts together in ministry.

Jill loves writing Bible studies with Multiply Goodness. The Bible studies are geared toward LDS and traditional Christian women in the context of small home groups. She is passionate about loving and encouraging pastors and their wives so that they can better minister to those whom God has called them to. While overseeing the operations of the ministry, she also enjoys keeping up with and understanding the larger picture of what God is doing globally and how that affects us here locally in Utah ministry.

Jill serves on the board of directors for both Jehovah Jireh (Honduras Development Project) and Beauty From Ashes (help for those in abusive relationships).

Greg and Jill have been blessed with four children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters.
